General Information
Conditions evaluated and treated include nerve disorders (neuropathies), muscle disorders (myopathies), radiculopathies, neuromuscular junction disorders, and motor neuron disease; including conditions such as myasthenia gravis, muscular dystrophies, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
MDA/ALS Clinic
Offers patients with neuromuscular disorders such as ALS and muscular dystrophy comprehensive diagnostic evaluation, including biopsies of nerve and muscle, and therapeutic research protocols. Physical therapy and occupational therapy services are available thorough the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (as well as genetic counseling). The clinic is supported by the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
