Multiple Sclerosis Fellowship

Dr. Tornatore Congratulates Dr. Amjad at Graduation

PROgram Description

During the first clinic year, fellows become familiar with myriad neuroimmunological conditions, and work on inpatient service for Dr. Tornatore’s patients. Fellows have also worked on clinical trials, worked with the EDSS, and have been trained in intrathecal Baclofen pump treatment in the MS Clinic. Some fellows choose to complete a second research-focused year. Past fellows have worked on recruitment and outreach through Georgetown and the greater Washington area. Webinars, webcasts, and meetings with MS specialists and general neurologists allow collaboration and updates on the current state of MS research. By handling clinical trials, fellows become familiar with IRB requirements and the role of a principal investigator.
